Born in rural Western Washington, 1983, Lindsey Bryant has pursued a lifelong interest in the arts, expressed through many mediums, including painting ( in oils, acrylics, and watercolors), pyrography, glass etching, leather working, beading, as well as sculpture from clay and sand.
Lindsey's work has won awards, been published, commissioned, and collected.
Self-taught by studying the works of others, reading, observation, and experimentation.
Lindsey is inspired by Vincent Van Gough because of his expressive and emotive use of brilliant color and energetic application of impasto paint.
She is greatly influenced by the untamed beauty of nature and the fact that it always finds a way.
Nature and its connection with the female form is the focus of Lindsey's work.
"I am her and she is everything that surrounds me." - L.Bryant
Her art-making process consists of exploration, discovery, and is perpetually in progress.
She invites the viewer to join her in this ever evolving journey into the unknown.
Element Art Studio was founded with a vision to bring contemporary art to a wider audience, and to create a space where people can come together to engage with art and with each other. We believe that art has the power to inspire, to challenge, and to transform, and we are committed to bringing beautiful and thought provokingcontemporary art to our community.
At Element Art Studio, our mission is to inspire creativity. To encourage a positive mindset. To promote joy, happiness, and mindfulness by showcasing the beautiful contemporary art from Humboldt County artist Lindsey Bryant. Element Art Studio is a welcoming space for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
Founded in 2019, Element Art Studio began as a small roadside Art show with a few paintings propped up on makeshift easels and a sand sculpture of a mermaid on a back road in Humboldt County California.
Passersby would stop and engage with the Artist and with one another on there way to and from work, school, or running errands. Many would purchase a small painting, dream catcher, or piece of jewelry.
As word spread through the community, popularity grew, and the 5 paintings turned into a expansive art show featuring over 100 paintings, several mixed media installations, as well as wood burning, glass etches, and sculpture displays. An impressive 175 pieces of art were sold in 2020, despite the pandemic.
In 2021 Element packed up and left that roadside location. We purchased a lovely old carriage house built in 1901 in Upper Fields Landing just outside of Eureka. After a year of restorations we opened our doors to the public in late 2022.
Element Art Studio is located at 6660 Spring Street in Upper Fields Landing, Humboldt County, California. The converted carriage house sits above the sleepy fishing town of Fields Landing, overlooking Humboldt Bay and backed up to acres of forest. Quiet, calm, and surrounded by nature.
The carriage house was built in 1901 from old growth redwood. We were careful to keep the structure as original as possible. Adding a loft with reclaimed old redwood beams locally sourced from an old hotel that was being demolished in the area. After a year of restoration the studio is now open to the public by appointment, seven days a week.
The Victorian Cottage on the property will be a lovely Vacation Rental available to rent hopefully by the end of summer. The house is filled with artwork and guests will be encouraged to tour the studio and participate in creating artwork of their own during their stay.
